The surface finish on all cylinder heads are intentionally left as a machine finish.
Our extensive research has found that in most cases, traditional polishing of our machined
castings can have a detrimental effect on airflow. Any polishing or other modifications to
the surface is generally limited to only those areas where it has proven to be advantageous
to performance (i.e. intake & exhaust short turn radius).
Also note that because of the EXACT nature of C.N.C. machining and the inconsistent
nature of sand castings, sometimes minor non-machined areas will appear. These are usually
very small and in non-critical locations. They have NO effect on performance and are usually
detailed as needed.

for water jacket leaks. It is the engine builders responsibility to check heads for any problem
before assembly.
